A Lifestyle Photographer and Artist based out of Kansas City, MO.
I knew from an early age that I wanted to be a photographer and artist. One of my favorite memories as a child was taking the disposable film up to Walmart with my mother, waiting the hour it took to develop the images by shopping around and looking at toys, then going and picking up the pictures and sifting through them. It was like Christmas every time I peeled that envelope open and saw the fruits of our labor; recalling the events that were captured in each image. Point-and-shoots then came out soon after and it was a whole new type of excitement as you got to see those images right away on this tiny little screen. Printing them out on copy paper and plastering them all over your walls, lockers, and wherever else you could think of. But the real photographer came out in me when I got my very first DSLR from a dear friend for Christmas. After I got this camera, I started taking friends out to various places and shooting picture after picture. I started looking up how to use it in manual mode and how to properly compose an image. The camera was a Nikon D3000, I still have it to this day as a memento of where it all started. I am so grateful to that friend, and so incredibly happy to continue to take pictures as a professional with confidence because of their kindness.
I have now done photography for about 16 years. I started while I was in school, and just drove myself to make it a business. I have grown up in the Kansas City area and am always finding great spots around town to take clients. I specialize in natural light photography but have also trained in studio and low lighting areas. I strive to continue to educate myself as I don't think the learning and evolving process is ever finished.
